Abstract
There is a lot of documentation, regulations and standards related to the methodology for geographic information products positional accuracy assessment. Most of them have similar virtues and they suffer the same defects. This paper tries to provide an overview of the most used methodologies for positional accuracy assessment of map- ping products.
