Abstract

Since its creation in 1738, the Royal Academy of History has been collecting in its archives numerous documentation and archaeological objects, that today are of primary importance to study and understand the History of Spanish Archaeology. Despite this importance, it was not until S. XXI that this importance was recognized, as evidenced by the number of publications and doctoral theses that have benefited from this rich information, being one of the main examples of Archaeology in Archives or Excavation of papers. But even today there is a lot of documentation that can be the subject of future researchers since it has not been taken into account, due to ignorance, by Spanish and foreign researchers specialized in the matter. Of all the preserved documentation, the one corresponding to S. XXI is the largest volume of the set, and it is fundamental to know the history of the archaeology of that century.
