Abstract

The Gravimetric Calibration Line for the Argentine Republic (LICAGRA), that ap- pears in this paper was based on the measurement and the processing of 19 gravity stations, of which 5 are local absolute gravity base stations and 14 are excentric stations. The calibration line was measured in its totality within the framework of this project with absolute gravity stations established by the Institut für Erdmessung (IFE) of the University of Hannover, Germany between 1989-1991. They are part of the Absolute Gravity Control Network.

The gravimetric observations were carried out simultaneously with four Lacoste-Romberg model G gravimeters and positioned by means of a Magellan GPS model NAV 1000-pro, on all the stations and their excenters. The measure- ment campaign was carried out in a joint operation between the Instituto Geográfico Militar (IGM) and the Laboratory of Applied and Environmental Geophysics (LAGAMA) of the Department of Geodesy and Topography (DGT) of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technology of the National University of Tucumán from No- vember 15-25, 1999.

The processing of the observations was done with the Grav-pak software (1999), at the LAGAMA of the National University of Tucumán.
