Abstract
This ethnographic research with a qualitative approach was carried out mainly
with ritual specialists related to water management, from the sacred, in the nahua community, Tequexquinahuac, Mexico State, with prolonged drought. It describes the formation of
the ritual specialist and the elements of the natural and supernatural environment, which
indicate the behavior of the weather and what actions to take. The job of a granicero (or
worker of time and nature), of pre-Hispanic origin, requires a traditional knowledge based
on the natural environment and a metaphysical, to which only a few access and is with their
beings with which he can control time and Negotiate water availability.
