Turismo y nueva ruralidad: permanencia y cambio en torno a la práctica turística

Abstract

The objective of this text is to emphasize that the introduction of tourism in rural areas contributes to the generation of a new rurality. For this purpose, I present the case study of the ecotourism park "El Borbollón", where I have carried out ethnographic work. where I have carried out ethnographic work that has allowed me to learn about the experience of the members of the Pese-ndeje cooperative regarding their participation in the tourist activity. This has led me to establish that rural tourism does not necessarily displace traditional economic activities or modify gender relations, although it does lead to the genesis of conflicts over territory.
