Abstract

The publication of a new dossier on the anthropology of tourism in issues 16 and 17 of Antropología Americana, which integrates recent productions by researchers from different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, is an important development in two ways. First, because it is a sign of the continued growth and general diversification of this field in recent years. Second, because it makes visible the contributions that add to the construction of a specifically American reading, which allows us to address first-hand the problems of our territory.
