Covid-19 and care from community networks: the Popular Legal Promoters in the municipality of São Leopoldo/RS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article presents some of the actions developed by the Popular Legal Promoters (PLPs), in the municipality of São Leopoldo/RS/Brazil, in the context of Covid-19. We observe an emic use of the notion of care to define these actions, since they act from their communities, going beyond the initial objective of disseminating information about laws and rights, to compose a network of community practices that aim to maintain life in these places. The text is supported by interviews and observations of meetings of/with activists during the year 2020, in online format.
