Abstract

The purpose of this work is to verify if in the Pachuca Metropolitan Area there is a relationship between socio-spatial inequalities and conditions of access to piped drinking water. Different proportions of dwellings are used according to their supply condition, first for the total area, by municipality and then for scholarship (accumulated years of study) of the heads of domicile. The best access conditions for this service are linked to the highest educational   levels of the population. The municipalities where the recent urban expansion of the area was concentrated are the same ones that present better educational conditions of the chief and better coverage for this mentioned service.
