Abstract

2020 has been very different for rural villages in the south of Tlaxcala. In the face of the global pandemic due to the spread of the new coronavirus, containment measures have focused on social isolation. Consequently, the ceremonial and agricultural cycles were interrupted, phenomena to which others are added, such as the pressure on the land, the deterioration of the quality of food, of community relations and the labor displacement of rural inhabitants, who have decades. The objective of this article is to analyze the effects of social distancing on social interactions and reflect on the behavior of communities to face the pandemic and after it. Along with the conceptual analysis, I will provide ethnographic, documentary and official and scientific sources information.
