Abstract

This article deals with the development and progress of the geographical regulations
that the INEGI has made. In our country, the technical regulations in this field are
based on the Law of the National Statistical and Geographic Information System
(LSNIEG), which states that the responsible for the regulation and coordination of
the National Statistical and Geographic Information System (SNIEG) is the National
Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), supported by state units, in an
environment of consensus and participation, under a defined conceptual structure that
has facilitated the generation and publication of normative documents in the Matter.
