Abstract

The regions of Cuyo and Central Chile endured until 2014 the consequences of one of the most acute and extended droughts in Arid Andes. His snowy precipitation is conditioned on the large scale factors in order of importance are: SST in the Niño 3+4 area, Subtropical South Pacific Anticyclone Oriental, Decadal Oscillation Pa- cific, Latitudinal Subtropical Anticyclone Position of the of the South Pacific, Westerlies Gradient Pressure Transcordillerano, Baroclinicity Austral, Pressure Center Argen- tina, State Thermal Atlantic, Geopotential 500 mb and Southern Annular Mode.  In this worN study the influence of temporal changes of these factors in the low and high frequency deepens on the long term variability of snowfalls in the Arid An- des, using methodologies specific statistics.
