Abstract

This article analyzes the access to natural resources obtained by household mem- bers Machiguenga (Arawak linguistic group) through their hunting and fishing. We present spatial and temporal analysis of the volume of biomass obtained and esti- mated species diversity (H’) that consists in each season and the area from which they were extracted products. We examine the records of the activities, according to the areas of use of three Native Communities of the Lower Urubamba, located in the Amazon region of Cusco in Peru. It presents data for a period of four years, records are 16 families in four times of the year and over four consecutive years between 2008 and 2012, allowing time variations observed in the context of socio- cultural changes. The three communities studied are in the area of influence of the Camisea gas megaproject (PGC).
