Abstract

In her prose, especially her short “communications”, Gabriela Mistral found a way, both in practice and symbolically, to unite her militancy in favor of the integration of the Americas by means of culture and the written word. In those “messages”, and her poetry, of course, the scheme for integration becomes an aesthetic and “spiritual” program.
