Risk of epidemic propagation of COVID-19 in Veracruz, Mexico
Main Article Content
Abstract
The risk of spreading viral infections is an emerging issue given the outbreaks of influenza and SARS-CoV-2 that are specifically impacting Brazil and Mexico. So the objective of this research is to confection a risk map of viral spread capable of typifying the degree of risk of each of the municipalities of Veracruz, Mexico. The methodological route consists of the selection of four parameters for the preparation of epidemiological propagation patterns, which were processed with geostatistical techniques. The results indicate that the 20 municipalities in Veracruz with the highest level of risk coincide with what happened in the first 90 days of the epidemic.
